After one year of operation, the interim financial information system has now made way to a
permanent Government Financial Management Information System
(GFMIS).
This new system is chararacterised by:
a high level of reliability and security
an up-to-date technology
integration of budgeting and accounting operations, including financial management
network (local area and wide area) deployment allowing MoF's partners (spending units) accessing
the system from their own premises and being kept informed of their budget operations and status
advanced reporting capabilities
(Non connected spending units are using workstations in "public workshops" installed in the
MoF's premises or in the Government's "Vektra Centre")
